Noemí Cerulla 


 

Bachelor’s (B.A) degree in Psychology from 1998, Master in Clinical Psychology in 2000 and Master in Clinical Neuropsychology in 2005. Expertise in Neuropsychology recognized by the Official College of Psychology of Catalonia (professional certificate).

In 1998 starts working as a Psychologist in Neurology Service of Hospital Mutua de Terrassa (HMT) and in AVAN (association for neurological disorders). In 2004 start sworking in Consoci Sanitari de Terrassa (CST) where she develops her work as an expert in diagnostic and cognitive intervention in patients with cognitive impairment. She is neuropsychologist of the Dementia Diagnostic Unity of the CST and the neuropsychologist of one of the Day Care Hospital of CST.

In the Day Hospital she has been developing and involved in different studies focused in cognitive rehabilitation, computer therapy for cognitive impairment, physical activity in patients with dementia, prognostic factors of benefit in cognitive training, monitoring activity with a portable GPS in patients with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI), effects of cognitive stimulation in MCI and in mild dementia, differential effect on memory of cognitive stimulation and the study of underlying cognitive processes of emotional information. Also has developed other lines of research focusing in breast cancer and cognition. Also does collaborative work with judicial services in Terrassa doing neuropsychological assessment, and also as a teacher in EUIT of Terrassa (Occupational Therapy School). She is member of the Spanish Society of Neurology (SEN), International Neuropsychology Society (INS) and CatalanSociety of Neuropsychology (SCNPS).

She has participated in research projects funded by public administration in relation with the efficacy of the portable GPS in patients with a Mild Cognitive Impairment, and with the efficacy of different strategies of cognitive rehabilitation in the treatment of discapacity in Mild Cognitive Impairment. Ms.Cerulla is co-author of CI- Indexed publications.
